What model laptop do you have? I can look to see what your options are. The prices of ssd's have gotten much cheaper so they definitely should be used. 1TB is alot of space but the prices of 2TB have also gotten ~$150 so it is hard to decide. It used to be easier when the price difference was almost $200/TB.
